Managing Director, New York City
Gino Menchini serves as both Managing Director of NSI’s New York City Practice and as a Senior Director of NSI's Technology practice and has more than 20 years of experience in public sector IT and business development. Prior to joining NSI, Gino was VP of Business Development for Northrop Grumman Information Systems, where he managed all aspects of sales, strategic planning, capture operations and proposal center operations, as well as developed and maintained relationships with customers, partners, and suppliers outside of the project. Previous to that role, Gino was appointed by Mayor Michael Bloomberg as Commissioner of the NYC Department of IT and Telecommunications (DoITT) and NYC’s Chief Information Officer (CIO). As the City’s CIO and DoITT Commissioner, he reported directly to Mayor Bloomberg and was responsible for the oversight and direction of all IT and telecommunications activities for each of the City’s agencies. During his tenure, he led an overhaul of the City’s operations to enhance safety of its citizens after the attacks on September 11th.
Gino has also held leadership positions at CA Inc., Cisco Systems, St. Francis College and the NYC Department of Education, all in the field of information technology.
Gino holds a BA in Business and Marketing from Pace University and attended their Graduate School of Business. He served as an adjunct professor at both St. Francis College in Brooklyn, NY and at Fordham University Graduate School and is a trustee on several boards, including Npower, the Brooklyn Public Library and St. Francis College.
