Stimulus Symposium to Help Silicon Valley Business Leaders
SAN JOSE — March 23, 2009 — The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, the federal stimulus bill, is a unique opportunity for Silicon Valley to innovate new products, create jobs and allocate funds to solve pressing civic and business needs. To explore the opportunities available for public and private sector organizations, the Silicon Valley Leadership Group is partnering with National Strategies, LLC, (NSI) a prominent business-to-government consulting firm based in Washington, D.C. to present a symposium on Friday, March 27.
The symposium will feature an overview of the stimulus package from Al Gordon, CEO of NSI, and from Dale Bonner, California Secretary of Business, Transportation and Housing and the point person for stimulus bill funding coming into California. The general session will be followed by five breakout sessions on how to prepare for stimulus opportunities in energy/environment, health IT, technology and broadband, public infrastructure and education/workforce.
What: Federal Stimulus Package Symposium
When: Friday, March 27, 9:15 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

“The stimulus is a unique opportunity with the largest, single investment ever made in the state and local government market, all of which is required to be spent quickly,” said Gordon. “There is an extraordinary business opportunity for companies across a number of vertical industries that want to enter or expand their reach into the government market.”
